Stamp Duty Fee Update
Dear Valued Customers,
Following UU No. 10 Tahun 2020 regarding Stamp Duty, here are the tariff updates for Stamp Duty:
- From January 1st 2021, Stamp Duty charge is effective in single tariff of Rp10.000,-.
- Existing Rp3.000,- and Rp6.000,- Stamp Duties are still valid until Dec 31st 2021, provided that the Stamp Duties are pasted on the Document should be at least Rp9.000,-.
- Account Balance Statement is exempted from Stamp Duty.
Following the Peraturan Direktur Jendral Pajak Nomor PER-01/PJ/2021 and Surat Edaran Direktur Jendral Pajak Nomor SE-01/PJ/2021 regarding the Procedure and Technical Guidance on Additional Stamp Duty Proof of Payment Stamp on Bilyet Giro and Cheque:
- Old Bilyet Giro and Cheque with Rp3.000,- Stamp Duty per leaf is still valid for transaction and tariff per book is still Rp100.000,-.
- Bilyet Giro and Cheque with Rp3.000,- Stamp Duty per leaf is valid for transaction via branch or clearing from other banks with the following conditions:
- Additional Stamp Duty per leaf should not to be pasted on Bilyet Giro and Cheque.
- Customer can pay the additional Rp7.000,- per leaf independently to Tax Office using Surat Setoran Pajak (SSP) with Nomor Transaksi Penerimaan Negara (NTPN) , then visit the nearest Tax Office to process the Additional Stamp Duty Proof of Payment Stamp on each of Bilyet Giro and Cheque leaf; or
- Bilyet Giro and Cheque that are already in circulation, additional Stamp Duty charge Rp7.000,- per leaf will be debited from the customer's account upon withdrawal, to then be deposited to State Treasury Account by Bank.
- Customer is obliged to ensure that the funds available in the Account are sufficient for the payment of the Cheque and Bilyet Giro processing and the settlement of Stamp Duty charges.
- Tariff for new Bilyet Giro and Cheque Book order with Stamp Duty of Rp10.000,- per leaf is Rp275.000,- per book.
